I bought this GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation a month ago and have been thinking about how to mount a bike rack in the bed every since.  I didn’t want to drill the bed so I bought some tie down loops made to fit the existing holes.  Cut off the loop and ground the surface flat.  Then I used it as a bolt base for the channel mount I had in my previous Tundra.  Worked great.  See pics!!55B8BCDF-6711-4F31-AB56-FAD2BDBAF0DB.thumb.jpeg.034183a28f5825cae838153f7d78eede.jpeg

good innovation there. I'm surprised that the after market hasn't caught up yet in these types of attachments. I wanted something for my stake bed pockets, but the rears were an odd shape and i couldn't find anything at the time. Made my own with uni-strut parts.

The channel was simple uni strut channel.  I’m can’t remember the exact size but the pic should give you a pretty good idea.  The tie downs came from Amazon.  I’ve screen shot the item below.
