Annoying Squeeling Chirp

OK Folks, here's on for you.

I have a very loud squeel chirping sound, Intermittant, but frequent at low speeds 10 to 30 mph, less frequent the faster I travel. around 75 pretty much goes away but occurs at random.

Can't duplicate it in the shop we've bounced it' examined every part, spun the wheels in 4X on stands.

Bearings are good. I've had 4 mechanics look at, and they are all baffled. :P

Forward and reverse are the same. Clutch in or out. Inside the cab It sounds like a ball joint at times but the duration is to long and there fine, All suspension steering componets checked out fine along with the wheel alingment.

Inside the cab it's fairly quite, and seems to come from the passenger side floor board area.

How ever it is very loud out side, Embarrassing really, People turn from half a block away, riding around with our heads our the windows we couldn't isolate the sound as it is the same on the left or right side.

The sound does not change its pitch by speed, If it makes he noise it's the same noise at 10mph as at 70 mph. just the frequency of occurance changes.

I had one guy think it was the throwout bearing for the clutch, but it will make the sound engauged or disengauged. Oh and it apprears to be worse when your traveling straight, lessens up goning around a corner. I thought Alt bearings but it the as earlier the pitch doesn't change.

I have replaced and rebuilt the entire front end hub to hub, All new clutch assembly last summer, new belts and the idler arm was replace last summer. Just had a tune up, oil and lube, and tires installed.

Problem started about 2 weeks ago and is getting worse.

Any thoughts or ideas where to look would really be appreciated.

Are you saying the chirp is faster at speed, but the pitch doesn't change? Did you give your front brakes a good going over? Small foriegn objects have been known to get lodged in calipers or pads and cause strange noise...

Actually it gets better at speed, and has real rhyme or reason to it. How ever I am starting to lean to the Alt bearings again that was my 1st thought. But I would think this would show up stationary with engine rev.

Could it be my sway bar bushings? Had another Mech look at it and stumped him. He advise to go to the GM Stealer and have the hook up a set of chassis ears.

Any Idea what this is and the cost?
