Got a start up noise problem?

Look around at GM car and truck sites. There was a issue with a "O" ring that was installed at the factory that got pinched during the instillation. This "O" ring is in the oiling system of the motor and has something to do with the pick up tube and oil pump. It has been said that this issue can be the cause of start up noise in the 99-2004 trucks. I had the problem with my 2002 Silverado 5.3 and the dealer replaced the "O" ring. I have no start up noise at this time. If I can find the TSB for this I will post it.

I'm suprised that this hasn't attracted more attention.

Is it because those with a knock at startup have learned to live it and do not really care? Or becuase this TSB has been out a while and either doesn't cure CSK or is too much trouble to mess with?

Just curious.
