I bought my 2015 GMC 1500 in 2019  and it always had odd shift points but about a year ago it started slipping really bad  and I ended up having to get it towed to the nearest transmission shop for a transmission rebuild. That was right around 100k miles, since I got it back it's having a very hard time shifting into second gear. If I'm stopped at a stop sign and take off it will vibrate, studder and act like it's slipping and then shift, not a hard shift it just seems like it can't find second gear. It doesn't happen every time but i do a lot of town "stop and go" driving so it happens often. I took it back to the transmission shop multiple times and they said it has to relearn my driving habits but this has been happening for 35k miles now and I'm wondering if its a shift point tune issue or is my rebuilt tranny taking a sh#t again. Does anybody have this issue? And if so did a tune help?

Nothing tune related for a problem like that.

Would be torque converter or problems with the rebuild itself that would cause something like that. The adaptive learning is basically done with after less than 50 miles. Once it cycles through the gears dozens of times it already learned alot.
