Nathan Monson
04 sierra 2500hd 6.0. This summer I want to do some work to the tires. Here is my plan. Install a 2inch leveling kit on the torsion springs. Put 2 inch wheel spacers on each wheel. Then comes buying the tires. What size will fit. The the 3 sizes up for grabs are lt295 lt305 and lt 315 all with 75 percent sidewall and mounted on 16inch rims. Any thoughts on sizing. I want no rubbing and plan on doing the NorCal mod on the fenders to make it fit.

If so, since late 1990, GM was making thier 4x4 trucks standard with a 2 inch lift. So you should easily fit 16 inch rims with 35" tires on them. I wouldn't go over 12" wide tires. You will have rub, it's just a matter of your turn ratious. I see alot of guys go for wider tires out past 12" wide. However, you cause alot of damage to your IFS arms, bearings, and ball joints from all the articulation those tires create. Spacers are nice, but not always the solution.
