I have a 2023 Silverado 3500HD High Country. A few days ago I went out to move my 5th wheel and found that I do not have any power at the 7 pin connector. I checked and changed the 30A fuse in the fuse box. I have a trailer wire tester that shows all other connections in the 7 pin are working (even the trailer breaks). I have two 7 pin connectors on the truck one in the bed and one on the bumper. Neither of these have the 12v+ power for charging. I have power at the engine compartment fuse box, volt meter reading 12.7v.  I am at my wits end with this thing. I am hoping that I can take care of this issue without taking it to the dealer but if not I will have to break down and take it in. Does anyone have any ideas on this issue?

On my '07 Silverado 1500, I had to fish that wire out of the harness (Was taped up underneath the master cylinder), and bolt it to the stud on the underhood fuse box. It probably just needs to be connected, or, a fuse needs to be installed to complete the circuit. Not sure how they do it in '23.

Hopefully you can find the info on the net, or, you'll have to buy a AllData DIY subscription to get it. Make sure you print it out for your records if you do.

I should have added that I had power on the B+ charging pin on both 7 pin connectors. For some reason I don’t now.

You'll need to track down a wiring issue in that case (Or a blown fuse, possibly - could be in a location that hasn't been looked at yet).

I'd do a visual first, and if you don't see anything obvious (Do a wiggle test as well of the wiring while someone watches the meter - might be a broken wire inside the harness, or even inside the jacket of what looks like an intact wire), then grab an AllData DIY subscription. Will be the best money you've ever spent. Trust me on that one! Trying to work on anything built this century without one is like flying single-pilot IFR with no instruments (Only safer 😂).

I have visually inspected all the wiring and did a wiggle test while someone watched the tester at the plug with no luck. I have and appointment Monday with the dealership for them to check this out. Should not be having issues on a brand new truck I have had less than three months and less than 7k miles.

Indeed - make GM fix their f'up! Once it's out of warranty, bring it ANYWHERE but.

I usually say that right out of the gate, but I must've read fast and glossed over the fact that this is a '23 model.

Hopefully you get a tech that hasn't been screwed all week by corporate, and puts some troubleshooting time into this one. Fingers crossed.

I hope I get a good tech. My appointment is the first one of the week so it should be a good one. They will definitely be fixing this before the warranty is expired.
