Injector cleaner

I have a 2016 Canyon 4x4 crew cab V6 with 67k miles. I was getting roughly 17-18 mpg in the city and 23-24 on the highway on long trips. A couple weeks ago I added a bottle of injector cleaner then filled up a full tank . Since then the milage dropped down to 14 -15mpg in the city. I've not been on a long trip so I don't know what kind of mileage I would get on a trip. Did the injector cleaner do something to cause the drop and what can I do to remedy this.

  I went from every other day to about once in five since the rain abated. I'm not unhappy about that. Took most of the month for the ditches to dry enough to mow.

  We've done a bunch of them. Very common failure. They don't sell the park position switch separate from the shift control assembly which is stupid, because they ended up selling a switch on some other products like 2016-2019 Malibu, 2018-2019 Traverse, 2019 Blazer, and another car or two as those were having the same issue for years (but these have a console mounted shifter not column mounted).
