Can't program new key fob

I am trying to program additional key fobs on my 2022 GMC Denali Duramax.  On line, I see to start by turning the key in the driver's lock to the unlock position five times within 10 second, and then a "Ready for remote #2" message will appear on the DIC.  Well, I get no such DIC message.  What's up?

Are you trying to add a 3rd key or did you lose one?
