I got married on Friday and my wife was in need of a car since she was driving her parents and would have to give it back. I didn't have much money to spare sinsce I financed a 2002 WS6 in June, so I settled for a 94 S10 4X4 with 123k. It is in great shape for a 10 year old truck , no rust just a little paint chipped off on the rear wheel wells and looks like the previous owner tied something in the bed and the rope rub off a little paint on both sides of the bed. The truck runs good and rides better than I expected. What things should I look out for in this truck?

Well if your 5'11" (or taller) like me, then you might find that your legs cramp up after long drives. I have a regular cab '95 S10 and after 3-4 hours of driving my knee locks up. Other than that my truck has given me no problems, expect for winter driving. The back end likes to slide around on me on icy roads.

Idler arm and pitman arm are know for wearing in those trucks. The remote oil filter lines are good for leaking too. All in all though, they are good trucks.

That's odd. I'm 6' and only had a problem when I had a heavy jacket on. I sit pretty erect though. When I test drove one, I couldn't get a manual because my knee hit the stearing wheel when I shifted.

Like mentioned above check the idler pulley. Might just be safe to change the bearing on it and inspect the belt. Besides that not really anything I know off the bat to look for. S-10 is a good truck, Im on my second one
