Black Chroming possible???

i was wondering if any of u guys know, but i want to take my 22's and black chrome the spokes and leave the lip chrome. is this possible to do and approximately how much. thanks guys

I'm pretty sure it can be done, might be $$$, tho... Call around to places in your town and ask, or ask these folks- Caswell Plating - they'll know.

 

I'm pretty sure they can clean and polish the lip then mask it off and dip the black...

 

 

BTW- black chrome is bitchen . Sounds like it'd make for a cool wheel.

don't knwo the surface of these wheels(weither they are stock or aftermarket), but on my type of BMW, a popular mod is switch from chrome to "shadowline" trim. probelm is these simple black trim piece cost anywhere from 300-1000 for certian parts or the whole kit. So, we improvise, and a few guys have painted over it with flat black paint. so far no problems an it looks great. you'd just need to do it all right, use the right stuff etc.
