Need Help With Canopy Automatic Open

Hi guys, so I finally bought a new to me canopy, among the things I’m hooking up/ installing, is a power hatch release the back window. Example here. I’ve got the actuators and the relay needed to wire it, but two point I’m stumbling on are :

-what wire would be the best to tie into the tailgate release? I’ve looked at the wiring diagrams but I’m still not sure which wire is the right one

-how to mount the actuators. It’s simple with the AREs because they have a small bracket that you can mount to. The leers do not. Just a fiberglass channel. 
 

I believe there are some folks on this site who have done this mod, and may be able to help, also I’m interested to hear what ideas you all have to accomplishing this.
