Westin Nerf Bars

I am in need of some new nerf bars. My pass side bars look horrible (under the step pads the paint is gone and there is alot of rust). I am looking at some different ones like these

anyone have these? How do you like them?

I had a set and liked them. Summit sells them for about 20.00 less. Summit sells them as the bar for about 180.00 then you have to by the monting kit. total is about 310.00.

Rookie you said you HAD a set. Why did you get rid of them? How were they to install?

I have them in the chrome plated aluminum. I really like them, but Westin had some problems getting the chrome to stick to the aluminum in the early production parts.

The Oval Tubes are much easier to install than the Nerf Bars.

Ryan, I bought mine from TruckAddOns.com, which has been severly bashed here on this site. I don't remember what I paid but I'm sure it was around 300-400 bucks.

 

Summit definatly has better prices....

 

My first set went back to Westin (at their expense) after they pitted... My second set will go back too as soon as this crappy weather breaks. They are pitting too... Both sets were early releases and hopefully they have fixed the problem with the chrome bars. The nice thing though is that I'll be putting new bars on my truck every summer if they haven't fixed the problem!!! The lifetime warranty is a good thing!!! Westin pays for the new bars and the return shipping!!!

My set are sitting in a bone yard some where. A plow truck decide to plow my truck and the snow at the same time. They are mounted tothe frame. As for jc whitney's price if you call summit they will beat any other price. I guess they like to sell parts.

I have the Westin CPS step rails. Regular round ones, not the oval ones. I've had them for 3 years now with no problems. I have a small chip on the lower part on the drivers side, but no signs of rust or flaking/peeling.

I have the CPS crome plated stainless steps -I love these. They are so nice with a 5 yr. warranty you can't beat it

Unless it's changed, the chrome plated stainless (CPS) rails have a lifetime warranty. The plain chrome ones had a 5 year warranty.

yeah you're right my grill guard had the 5 year warranty my nerf bars have the lifetime I must still have been High on dale jr. winning the 500 when I typed that

well i called some local places and they want $525 for the bars and mounting kit plus $50 to install. DARN JC Whitney is looking much better right now at $320 plus 15% off.

I paid 430 from JCW for mine and the install is simple

Paid $315 for mine at Pep Boys. Installed myself in about 1/2 an hour.
