Dyno Pull Results

Wet and cold this weekend, so no strip, but my Valentine's day gift from my huney- dyno pulls !!!!!

I'll print the sheet tonight, but pulled 235hp and 279.2tq.

At rated numbers, that's only 21%-22% parasitic loss- not a reasonable number. Isn't loss generally at 29-34% ?? Plus I have quadrasteer, a little more loss at the rear CV's ??

So, oh gurus of the numbers- what's that sound like to you ?? 320/385 at the crank ??

Regardless, I'm happy with those numbers :shakehead: !!

Can't wait to do it again with the tune !!!!!!!!!!

Oh- and got the video, too :D:nono: !!!

Interesting. here's what my nephew got on his 6.0. He still had 89 gas in his tank with a 93 tune...so he wasn't getting all it could put out. He picked up 26rwhp even with the wrong octane fuel.

stock was 252 hp and 320 ft-lbs. With the westers it is now 278 hp and 335 ft-lbs(on 89) he plans to make another run after running some 93 through it.

Good numbers guys!

Keep in mind that different dyno's can give way different readings, and temperature and humidity can also have a big effect on them also.

What is important is the improvement you get on the same dyno.

WOW- now them's some good numbers, C3 !!!!

Butch, I know, it's really apples to oranges, advertised vs. actual, and dyno to dyno. I got my baseline now, only one way to go from here...... UP !!!!!!

Cool present, and impressive numbers :shakehead:

However, its highly unlikely that your truck would lose nearly 100 hp/tq. I would say probably a 20-25% loss. I'm basing this from Corvette (C4-ZR-1) that loses 18% at the drivetrain.

 Awesome power - but the Win - I mean NEXTEL Cup guys are getting over 800 rwhp from an ancient 350 with a carb! Course thats with a manual! Put that in your truck and smoke it! or the tires fer sure! I would love to put my 84 New Yorker on a dyno - 256,000 but with a turbo! Wonder if it would break 100 fwhp with the turbo spooled up?

UMMM, The SB2 small block is not ancient that the Nextel cup GM guys use. The block, cylinder heads and intake are state of the art, computer assisted designs. And i won't go into the rest of the engine parts. You might have a point about the carburetor. But i'm sure a bunch of money goes into it too.
