Need help quick! Please

Dont all the 88+ z71s come with 350s????? reason why im asking is because the truck im looking into buyin is listed as a 5.0!!! I thought all z71s came with 350's

Please help

You could get non 350 Z71s. Check the glove box RPO list for Z71.

You could get 4.3,5.0, and 5.7s with the Z71

Alll you need to check for is the Z71 code on the glovebox sticker .

If you look in the glove box there should be a sticker with a bunch of 3 letter or number combinations. They are the RPOs or Regular Production Options. They are descrambled for you here. http://www.gm-trucks.com/RPO_index.shtml

Z71 = Chassis Package Off-Road

an RPO is a Regular Production Option. 3 letter/ number combos that are short for options and standard eqipment on vehicles Z71 is a RPO for offroad suspension and components, Z82 is trailering. Check the top of the Light duty page for a current list. The glove box will have all codes for your vehicle its up to you to decifier the code into what they mena some don't have any relavance others are engine codes, paint, trans and so on. the motor will have a RPO code also do a google search for 88 GM codes and it should pop up.
