Z71 sticker

Any Ideas. The Z71 sticker on my 98 is loose and flapping at the edge. It will not stay stuck... The decal is in good shape it has just lost the adhesive. Is there any way to glue it back down without damaging the paint?

I'd replace it. Checkout the different Z71 decals from www.decalking.com

yeah decalking will hook you up....get 2 and just replace both of them so they look the same.....

You can get good deals on the decals on there most of the time.

A little bit of adhesive silicone maybe? Evenly coat the part of the sticker that is lifted. Then push it down against the body panel and wipe off the excess. I know it won't hurt the paint, but you might need something to hold it down till it cures. A strong magnet wrapped in saran wrap might work to clamp the sticker down till the silicone cures.

 

I would try that before replacing the sticker, but then I'm cheap like that.

Good idea Gnat, I'll try that. I even have some adhesive silicon on hand. It's just the end of the "Z" that's lifting. A little smear would be all it would need. Thanks. Lou

I dunno for the price of silicon adhesive I would just buy some new stickers....decal king is great, and you don't want to screw up your paint job with some random glue
