14 bolt rear, will 10-bolt 6-lug axles fit?

I have a rear end from a 96 2500HD with the 14 bolt rear-end and 8-lug axles.

Will the axles from a 10-bolt 1500 4x4 (6-lug) fit in this housing or are they completely different. The brake set-up is much larger on the 8-lug too, would that all swap over from the 10-bolt?

Not sure why you would want to replace a 14bolt rear end with a 10 bolt one but no nothing will fit. The axle housing itself is the same width (spring perch to spring perch) but other than that everything else is different.
