Yesterday I installed a set of Edelbrock Performer IAS Monotube Shocks and took some pics to share. I also finally took some pics of the Wheel Spacers I had custom made for my truck quite a while ago. You can view all the pics here:

Let me know what you think and there is a pic that shows the part numbers for these shocks. These are the numbers for a 2001-2002 2500HD Silverado. There is a link in my sig file for where I purchased my Wheels Spacers from for those interested. I also recently installed an XM Radio tuner and pics can be found here:

Nothing to fancy, but it worked out well I think. Take care all....

The wheel spacers make the factory rims and tires stick out more, right?

Do you have any pics showing how much more they stick out?

How much were the wheel spacers?

The wheel spacers widen the rear track of the truck to match the front. It can be considered a cosmetic thing, but I think it helps the truck to be a little more stable. The wheels spacers are 1-5/8" deep if I remember right so the total width increase is just over 3". I do like the look better with the spacers on it. I will have to try and get some pics to show how they relate to the front tires. As far as the cost goes, I think I paid $250 for the set.

ChevyHDGert,

Here are the pics you requested. I hope these help you get a better idea of what the Wheel Spacers do for the truck. They are the first 5 pics in the album that were added today(3/1/04).

I also added this gallery for the VR Straps I installed on my tailgate a week or so ago for those interested.

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback...

Actually that is the way they are supposed to be installed according to the instructions. They also have a decal on the shocks themselves that say 'This End Up". In the front there is no other way to install them because of the different hardware types on each end of the shock. The rears could be rotated the other way as the hardware is the same, but I wanted to install them all per the instructions. I think the reason they have the boot face down is so that you won't have water or dirt build up on the shaft seal on the shocks. At first I was not sure if I like mouning them that way, but I think they look fine. If I have any problems they can't say they were not installed right.
