Hey all you V8 swappers!

Within the next month or so, as I'm hoping, I should be getting a new engine for my 91 s-10 blazer. Thinking about a 350 swap, w/ minor engine mods. What exactly do I need for th swap? Just everything for the mototr/ mountsa and like the headers for the swap?

 

If it's too much trouble I think I'm just gonna stick with a 4.3 swap, prefferebly a vortec swap, for that extra fuel economy and such.

 

Any advice? Or do you guys have any 4.'3s you swapped out you'd let go for CHEAP?

I've read a little about these swaps. The vortec V8 is a perfect swap for these vehicles. The 4.3 is the same motor with two cylinders missing so you can use the same parts from a 4.3. Do a web search as there are some sites dedicated to these conversions.

That is very true, but only for trucks that already have a sfi vortec, otherwise a L31 350 vortec would give most people a stroke trying to get it to run in a non sfi v-6 truck.
