So I have a 17 Sierra 6.2 that I added a flex fuel sensor to and had tuned on E85 a few years ago. Recently put an Edge Insight CTS3 and was told it will be able to read my ethanol percentage. Well I installed it and it does not have the pid for alcohol percentage. A friend of my has basically the same truck expect it was a factory flex fuel 5.3 and his Insight does have the alcohol percentage pid. My tune was looked over and is definitely set up right for the sensor. Does anyone know if since the truck was not factory flex fuel will it just not have the pid in the ecm even though a factory gm flex fuel sensor was added and correctly enabled in the ecm with hp tuners?

I would contact the manufacture's support. They may have to find and an create a software patch. Linear Logic did one for my Mitsubishi's CVT fluid temperature. Just a thought.

I email them over the weekend but still waiting on a response. I may call them tomorrow. I did ask them in the live chat when I first installed it but they told me that it can’t read the pid at all but I know that’s not true because I’ve seen one that will.

My 2019 LD (same as a 2018) when I had it was a factory non flex.  I added the sensor and had it tuned and the E85 tables, etc. turned on.  You could read the data for alcohol content just fine with HP Tuners data, GM GDS2 and other devices just fine.
