SCHOCKER!!

I just hope they replace them with the same junk that is on them now!

I know I was happy when the tailgate on my 26,000 pickup went crashing down for a nice dent with 250 pounds on it. It was a great feeling.

Rant Off.....

What is the normal procedure for this? They just swap them out the next time I go in for service?

The News said the new ones are stainless steel. Whether they are a cable or not, I don't know.

BTW, I have had them break on two different trucks. My '98 Z71 and my '00 Z71. Both were while loading my ATV.

Yep I went with the VR Straps as well. I had one partially broken cable so I decided not to take the chance of them breaking completely when I was loading something. The VR Straps worked out great.
