Still have this from my Silverado, it's a steel insert, not billet or plastic. I wired brushed the back off it and gave it a few coats of gloss black paint to clean it up, looks good for being used. E-mail me and I'll send to a pic. Here's a link to LS1TECH to see two pics. $20 shipped!

  Has anyone had any luck swapping a Leer or equivalent shell between the current gen GMC/Chevy HDs? Hopefully specific to the standard 6'9" bed. I had an Overland Vehicle Systems shell on my 1500 AT4 and I know those fit the Sierra and Silverado, with or without the Multi-Pro tailgate. That said, I think the Leer shells are made to fit all the way over the bed caps as opposed to on them with some room to spare like OVS. Some 1500 owners reported some change in coverage over the rear tail lights..but that's 1500 specific.
