Seat Problems

I have a 2001 silverado LS, the problem is with the passenger seat belt. It seems like it locks in one place then does not want to let go, to give the passenger extra room, seems like its catching on something, I cant really take it in for warranty work because now its out of warranty. Wondering if any of you out there have had any problems? And if so how did you fix them?

I'm guesing that the safety catch is stuck... You may be able to take the plastic cover off and lube it a little to try to free it up.

I know I had recall work done on the retractors on my 99. You may want to see if anything would apply to your truck.

I do belive that seat belts are covered for the life of your vehicle by the Manufacturer. Try it at the Stealer.

I think this is a problem with most of GM products.

I have had a number of cars and truck that did this and usually when the wife is sitting in the seat What could be worst

Yeah, my girlfriend is the one complaining about the seat belt. So she usually ends up not wearing it.
