Switching from gas to diesel

I have a '99 Yukon SLT with Auto 4wd. I really want to switch from my 350 gas engine over to a diesel. Anyone have any idea at what price I'm looking at to buy it and have it installed? Any ideas where I can get one? I think I'd rather have a rebuilt one than buy a new one. Suggestions or thoughts would be great! Thanks

  $3.93 for 87 octane. $4.73 for 93 octane. $4.70ish for diesel. But a short drive can see prices swings as high as $5.30's still.

  Thanks for the reply. Im not sure what you mean by the hype Nate puts out. I dont really know much about either trans. I do hear more about the 10 speed transmission having issues but im sure it's only a small % of them that are manufactured. I have heard that the 10 keeps you in the power curve more with less Rpm drop. My stepfather has a 10 speed in his 1/2 ton and im not crazy about the way it shifts and he has started experiencing shudder at 100k.
