Ok strang put in a K@n a couple of days ago and Spintech mufflers the day before that.

Truck runs great but today when I went to shut the truck off I noticed the key was in my hand and it still was running for an extra 5 seconds t :jester: hen shut off. Not deiseling but just shut off 5 second later. No difference it just sat there and idled a little longer. Seems like it only dose it after its warmedup. If i go out there now it will shut down fine.

What gives?

You are the first person on this board that I can remember having a problem like this!!!

I'm guessing a faulty ignition switch. Do you carry alot of keys on your keychain?

Posted

I have a few.

Thing is it was replaced at 20000 miles it was locked up now at 36500 miles

And why is it only if the truck is warmed up?

Mine does that when my electric fans are running when I shut off the truck. But you dont have elcetric fans....do you?

Any update on the vibration?

Yeah, if you have something that will stay running after the truck is shut off like fans, they will actually become a generator untill they stop, and if hooked into the right circut the motor will stay running.

Bad HD still Shaken. I had one mtr that was out of round but its still there.

As for the fan thing I did add one up front recently for the aAC in the drive thru just axiary fan with thermostat.

Now why would it keep the truck running?

Do I have it spliced in in a wrong spot?

I have my power coming from a switched power source under teh fuse box. It keeps running because the ignition switch cuts power from the battery. But, the fans keep providign power for few seconds. Like said, the fans actually will turn into a genertator for a second or two. They do that.... Its not hurting anything. If you want to get rid of that, just put a in line switch on the power feed and turn them off before you turn your truck off.

that sounds funky

I'm just wonder'n ....do you have a deisel engine...It could be that the computer is idleing the engine to cool it down....just a 1/2 a$$ed guess.

I dont know out of all the people I talk to Im going with BADHD. Not only is my truck look the same he seems to have some knowledge, And when I find out the vibration problem he will be the first I call on.

We have 450000000000 billion customers and it seems like the onlyone one with the same problems. Kind of funny, Bad hd do you have to race everything with a motor and then half to go home and figure out how to make it faster. just checking I thought it was just me. I can beat everyone with a motor on it but go home and not be satisfied. ha
