Lugnuts

Just want to be sure. Are the lugnuts on the chrome steel wheels the same as those on the aluminum wheels?

I would think not.

 

Just for the simple fact that the ones for the aluminum wheels have threads on the outside, back end to screw the fake plastic lugnuts on the center cap to.

I think we are just going to get the lugnuts too just to be safe, but both wheels have the other threads because they are the same center cap.

It's possible that the lugs for the steel wheels have a different "dish" on them. I'm sure the threads would be the same though... You'd have to compare the 2 lugs to be sure.

 

Before you go and spend the money on 32 new lugnuts, I'd call the Chevy dealer and ask if your old lugs would work. If they are the same part # then you are OK.

 

I think I remember someone saying the center caps from a steel wheel, are different than the ones for the aluminum wheels.

Thanks, Ill check with the dealer tomorrow. Luckily the new wheels come with new centercaps.
