Colorado Engines...

Guys...I can't remember what mag it was but I was at Super Wal-Mart in their ever expansive mag dept. and I came across this "Sneak Peek" type thing that had the Colorado prototypes in it and it said that 4 cyl, I5's, and I6's will be available.  I thought ya'll said that the I6 will not be available?

I read the same thing about the new Colorado having the I-6.  Since it's a modular design engine, they can easily use it as a base to do an inline 5 or 4 like I also read.

 Did you read that in a mag?  If so, which was it?  I can't remember but I'm thinking it was like Four Wheeler maybe??

I read that too.  It was either Four Wheeler or Off-Road.  I get both but don't remember which one had that blurb.  I'm sure they are leaving their options open till it hits full production -

I think it was Truck Trend.  From the look of the spy photo it looks like it'll have six lug wheels too.  Unless they took a spy photo of the (soon to come?) Silverado.  But I've read in a couple different magazines that it'll have the Vortec 4200 as well as an inline 5 and a 4.

It wasn't Truck Trend that I read it in, but they may have had that in there.  I sure hope they're right!  They don't carry Truck Trend down here for some reason...not even at the big book/mag/lit stores.
