how to replace window regulator

Yes I did it. It was easy. It is a very simple regulator consisting a couple of tracks for the window and a figure eight of cable that gets wound back and forth by a motor. Take a look and all will become clear.

My motor went up so I bought a new motor from one of the parts stores- can't remember which, for $28.

Take the door panel off. The window slides up and down in two tracks that are held in by a couple of screws each. Undo those

The window is held to the regulator by a couple of pinch bolts - loosen them and then wedge the window up - I used a piece of cardboard to stop the window coming down.

I think the motor has a couple of bolts holding it to the door. Undo those.

You should be able to remove the two tracks and the motor in one assembly.

Then just stick it back the same way you took it out.

It's hard to really describe in writing but if you look at it all will become clear. I had mine out and back in in kess than an hour.
