I'm am looking into POSSIBLY trading in my 1999 4 Door Blazer for a 2000 Extended Cab S-10 Pickup.

Anybody have any info on 2000 S-10's?  Likes, dislikes, problems, anything.

I took it for a test drive today, it was nice.  I'm going to have my dad go look at it early next week.  Any input at all would be appreciated.

Thanks alot.

What's the details on it Bill?  (2WD/4WD, color, etc.)

Oh yeah, have those oil lines checked out.  The ones you have a problem with on the Blazer.  (If the trucks are the same as the Blazers.)

4WD

Red Extended Cab

16,701 miles

Factory warranty is good until April 11 next year.

But it's not looking good right now that I'm going to get a deal worked out.  I'm not sure I can get enough out of my Blazer, and if I put it up for sale, by the time I sold it the truck would probably be gone, and I doubt I'd find another one for this price with this low of mileage.

But I'm going to keep trying for a few more days and see what I can get figured out.

Does anyone know if the 2000 S-10 and the 1999 Blazer use the same oil lines?

I've had problems with the pressurized lines going to the filter on my Bvlazer and I would like to know if I need to worry about this with the 2000 S-10.

Any other problems or info. would be appreciated.  Thanks.

If the filter assembly on your Blazer is relocated in any fashion then I can almost promise you it uses the same remote relocator and lines that the 4wd you are looking at does.

I'll do a little checking for you and see what I can come up with but I'm pretty sure they are the same.

I had a 2wd ext. cab and thought it was good overall.  The only thing that bothered me was the poor hinges on the doors. I had the 3rd door fixed twice and the passenger door hinges replaced once.  One of our clients has a large number of S-10's and they have the same complaint on the doors.

Well, I'm keeping the Blazer.  I've had enough of this dealer.  There were a few small things wrong with the truck that were really not a big deal at all, but they tried to lie around them and I caught them up it the lies.  And I've been there four business days in a row to see the guy who will decide what they can give me out of the Blazer (the fourth day was today and I had an appointment).  I've yet to see the guy.  I told them they obviously don't want my money, and I don't really need their truck, so I won't be back.

I was just trying to work something with the same or lower payemnts and get a newer truck, so I have the luxury of not worrying about it.  With the few worries I had about the truck having some of the same problems my Blazer has had, and the "I could Care less" attitude of the dealers I said screw it.  The Blazer will be fine.  As a matter of fact Tom and I our going to do a little work to it in July to make it last a little longer, and I'll be driving for a while.

Thanks alot to everyone who helped me out with all the info.
