Problem:

I just replaced the original tires (Bridgestone) on my 1500 HD. The tire store recommended BFGoodrich Commercial 10 ply tires. I have a horrible vibration above 35 MPH and took the truck back to have the tires rebalanced (they found 2 out of balance) but still has bad vibes.

Anyone else run these tires? they have 50,000 mile warranty and excellent load ratings, but I want a smoother ride, not street moguls.

Question:

Does anyone elses truck ride on the rubber frame bumpers? Mine came that way from the dealership and that is the first I have seen any vehicle this way.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum.

It seems like BFG's have had some problem keeping their tires round. I'd check for out-of-roundness, as well as balance. I'd also make sure there isn't too much air in the tires. I normally run 50-55 psi in my 265/75/16 Michelins.

My bump stops touch on my front suspension.

I know there is not too much air in the tires, I tend to side with you on the out of round. The store said they would replace my tires with a different kind if I wanted so that is probably what I will do.

My truck is fixed! After 6 BFG Commercial tires and no luck the tire store put on OEM Firestones and it rides like a dream again. :seeya:

The Commercial 50,000 mile tires are just flat out rough riding and hard to balance for those people.
