Water pump install on '97 5.7 Vortec?

Hi all,

 

I have a 1997 Chevy 1500 with the 5.7L V8 Vortec engine.

 

Has anyone replaced their water pump on this truck? If so, is it reasonably easy to do? I'd like to do the install myself and save the money on taking in for service since the warranty is long gone

pretty simple and straightforward on these. You may need a strap wrench or fan clutch removal tool to get the fan clutch screwed off
