Flowmaster delta's

Anyone who has flowmasters ever find a loss of power from it? I would think not because of the name alone! But I don't know much about exhaust and two years ago just wanted it LOUD so I had Torpedo put on. The guy was my dad's friend and I just wanted the loudest street leagal with dual pipes. (sounds great by the way. just like an old boat). So he put it on, and I noticed a loss in power, when my foot was completely on the floor. Recently I've been looking at flowmaster delta's. Does anyone have this? Or any kind of flows? Ever have a loss in pwr? Are you happy about it for the most part?

thanks for the input

Flows are not a good muff to run if you want power. Low end with my 40's sucked arse!! They just do not flow that well. I dumped it for a Borla cat-back and regained my low end. I just put a Borla XR-1 sportsman on cause the cat-back wasnt loud enough. Needless to say Im happy now. If I were you I would maybe look into Magnaflow. Their cat-backs will net you more power.

Thats my 2 cents.

I don't usually reply to people that post stupid comments in these forums. But in this case I just have to say to Cool Zr2 -

HOW IN THE F~<K WOULD YOU KNOW ?

I was stating MY opinion based on MY experience with MY truck....before and after installing the exhaust system.

If you have something constructive to say, go for it. Otherwise STFU. :seeya:

As I previously stated:

What part of that statement don't you understand ?

The key words are "MY OPINION".

End of discussion as far as I'm concerned. Have a beer on me. :D

I got a Flowmaster 50 series duel in/duel out. I'm not sure if I got more power but I didn't lose any and upped the gas mileage by 1.5 mpg

you all are funny. as stated early in the post i lost my low end. Question why do you lose low end........ answer no back or reduced back pressure. Now lets look at the name Flow master. i would have to say they flow Better. thus reducing back pressure. in turn no or reduced power out of the hole. just my opinion. but every body is a ace tech.
