check engine light P0430

Is my catalytic conveter already bad?! My truck has only 76K miles.

 

I have a 1997 K1500 z71. It's all stock except for flowmaster dual exhaust.

The code P0430 I believe is a "Catalyst deterioration" code. And if that is the correct definition of the code, you will need a new Cat converter installed. Cat converters are covered by Federal Emissions warranty for defects for 8 years and or 80,000 miles. Whichever comes first.
