Holy hell I'm going mental

I recently helped my neighbor relandscape his front yard, and it gave me the bug. I've repainted my bath/bedroom, refinished kitchen/bathroom cabinets, painted living room, shampooed family room carpets, etc. Now it's time for the backyard. I've been measuring for sod, how much bark I'll need to have dumped off, sprinklers, where the new gate goes, time for labor, i.e till and smooth, lay sod and roll it, this and that. I swear to God it's got me going crazy. It sounds weird, but even at the aage of 16, I'm reeeeaaaally picky about the appearance of my house. I used to be the "landscaper" for 7 of the houses my grampappy owns in my 'hood, and it got me really conciencious about the look of my yard, especially the front, interior came next, and I'm finally getting around to doing the backyard. I've gotta clean all the crap out, wet it, till it, smooth it, install irrigation systems everywhere, everything else. I'll have it ready for sod hopefully by the first of the month. Jesus though, I feel like I'm going crazy.

Holy hell, I know how you guys feel when your wives get on your case about the house , except no1's [ressuring me but me. Hell, at least I'll keep mine happy I hope

I shouldn't have started this thread..........

I was looking last night, up where I was working, and I saw a GARGANTUMOUS HUGEMUNGOUS bee hive up there, scared the living sh*t out of me, omfg. I ran like crazy. I'm a pansy when it comes to any kind of bee, hornet, etc.

d**n dude...do you at least get your parents to pay for it? I sure as hell don't worry about appearances that much...our house is fugly and our yard sucks and you really can't polish a turd so I don't care that much about it. Parents don't really either (well, mom doesn't, dad does). The only time I have done anything in my own yard is when a tree was letting birds s**t on my truck, so I cut down several branches. Only other landscaping I do is for other people (make them pay too). Then again, where my family is from, cars pass for lawn ornaments, so you can't expect much.

I'm the same way. Last year we remodeled one spare bedroom, the kitchen, and living room, added a sliding door to out the back and doubled the size of our deck. Last month I tore out the back yard and I'm up early ever morning now watering the hydroseed. Next is painting the house and re-staining the deck.

I'm the same way with my house and yard. I'll fester on something and then suddenly tear it apart and remodel it. The plan was to do the front yard this year but all of the block we wanted put the price too hight. I was so pissed we couldn't do it I tore out the back yard. Sometimes you just have to scratch an itch.

The worst part is now I have parts of my house that are getto and parts that are really nice. I think the end result just makes you get more irritated with the old parts of the house.....

Nah but my parents do pay for everything, I just like to keep everything up to par around here, dunno why. My dad or grandpa usually buy all the crap, and my dad starts it and I'll have to finish it.
