ABS light on?

I have my ABS light on on the dash. When I changed the front and rear brakes this

weekend I took the two front sensors out and cleaned up the tiny bit of rust and corosion that had accumulated on them and re-installed them. I was told that when the rear sensor dies that it screws up your speedo, which on my truck is still working fine. I unplugged the battery for about five minutes to clear the codes and it still came back. Other than hooking it up to the OBD2, is there anything else I can do to try and clear the light off the dash?

Thanks...Wade

Double check the wheel sensors,Make sure they are mounted correctly and the wire harness' are connected...I know that Auto Zone in my neck of the woods will check the codes for free...you can try that if you have one near-by...OOOPS! Just noticed that you're north of the border,I have'nt been very far past Ridgeway,Ont. in awhile so I'm not sure if they will do that up there.....Good Luck

I had the same problem on my 99 silverado the ABS module was bad from water getting into it. Get a mechanic or someone to look at it. On new silverados the mod is under the drivers side of the truck.

I replaced my ABS mod haven't had a problem since.

Good Luck
