New thermostat going in this weekend

Recommended Posts

Well, I got my PCM for Less ECM. I had it programmed for a 180 t-stat. I need to put it in this weekend.

So far I really like the ECM. Made a nice difference. Picked up some low end gains for sure. And top end screams. Definitely best bang for the buck.

I still can't do much more then chirp the tires, but my Coopers seem to be pretty grippy. Cause I could chirp the tires more with stockers, and when the truck was stock. Changed tires and couldn't chirp them at all. At least now I can chirp them.

And I'm so happy that the torque management is gone. That is the stupidest idea ever. I hated that. Now, when I romp on it, its all there. No backing off to go faster.

Shifts are nice too. In Tow/Haul mode, it is really firm.

Very happy.

Anyways, any tips on installing the thermostat? I noticed it goes into the lower hose. How much coolant will I lose. I got 2 gallons, so hopefully thats enough.
