quite exhaust

Own a 04 5.3 burb 4x4 want a aftermarket exhaust system but dont want a drone sound while running the freeway (wifes car). How is flow master for sound and milage.

If your worried about noise I'd go with something like a 50 or 60 series. The 40 would sound great on a 5.3L but I understand they come with cab drone.

I second the CORSA! you could go with the touring system if you are worried about the sport system being too loud,plus its GM licensed and approved so it won't void your warrenty, something that you asked in another post.

AVOID THE 40 SERIES FLOMASTER DELTA FLOW, I HAVE ONE AND IT HAS A DRONE....I PERSONALLY LIKE THE SOUND BUT MY WIFE DOESN'T. IF YOU GO WITH FLOMASTER GO WITH THE 50S OR 70S.

I PLAND TO RUN TRUE DUALS WITH DUAL MUFFLERS BUT WILL LEAVE THE CATS ON FOR NOW TILL I GET SOME HIGH FLOWS.

On mine I run the Delta series SUV flowmastrer muffler......dual in/dual out.......behind the cats. I come out with shorty turn downs at the rear axle facing 45 degree outward. I was told to cancel some of the cab noise.....I needed heat sheild with some insulation to deaden the noise. Mine has low amount of cab.........but I never hear it over the Alpine kickn............jus pull up our pants and do the rock a way......Lean back......Lean back...........

You mean Noise Master???? Way to much cab noise. I have Gidson Swept Side on both my 02 Silverado and my 01 Tahoe and love the exhaust system. Easy to install and nice sound when you get on the gas. Sound is not overpowering in the cab. Normal crusing around town and you barely hear a rumble in the cab. GIBSON is the way to go. Buy it from JC Whitney...cheapest price and no tax or shipping charge. My buddy has a Noise Master on his Tahoe and people cannot talk in the back seat when driving around town.

The flowmaster 70 series with the flowmaster resonator is quiet. No drone at all, A slight rumble to it when you get on it.

I have the 50 series delta flowmaster with duals out both sides behind the rear wheels and have no drone at highway speeds. Under acceleration, it is louder but very deep.

Everyone seems to have a lot of luck with these aftermarket systems on the V8s. Wish the V6s had same oppertunities

I have the Gibson Dual Sport on my 04 burban. I was looking for a alsighly deeper rumble and nice tone, but not loud. It is perfect. Has that tinnie rumble sound at idle and nice sound o accell. At higher speeds, it is hardly noticeable.

I know everyone if pushing Flowmasters, but I put Summit turbos on my truck and really like them. Quiet cruising but nice sounds when you get happy feet! Did I mention they are really cheap!!

I notice you are from CA...you can do anything you like after the cat and the smog folks don't care.
