Anyone have experience with BDS Suspensions?

I am looking to lift my truck this fall sometime, and I was considering going with the BDS 6" Front/5.5" Rear (leaf spring replacement, not add a leaf w/ blocks). I have always heard good things about them but have never actually known anyone to have one on their Chevy.

I had one on my 2000 ZR2 and never had any trouble out of it.

The good thing about BDS is their "no questions warranty" and they are not afraid to answer any questions you have over the phone.A friend of mine had one on his 2001 ZR2 Blazer and hit a feral hog that weighed close to 400 lbs.In the process of doing this,it bent one of the drop brackets and upon receiving the bent one,BDS sent him a brand new one out with no problems. The vehicle was back on the road in a week or so.

That is refreshing to hear. I have had so many problems with aftermarket goods on so many of my vehicles, particularly in the way of warranty and replacement.

I've had my BDS since March and I haven't had any problems. Very straightforward install and Frank S is right, the no questions warranty is a nice benefit.

How much did it run you for the kit and the install, if you don't mind me asking?

The kit cost me $1300 and I was qoted $750 on the install, but a friend and I put it in ourselves in about 15 hours over a weekend. I'd recommend doing it yourself if you have access to air tools and a helping hand.

Really watch your alignment afterward. I had to replace the driver's side wheel bearing/hub assembly because the alignment was so far off and the shop was 40 miles away.

Good luck.
