Hi everyone I am new to board. I just bought 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD extended cab with 6.0L. I was wondering what exhaust would sound like if i replaced oem muffler with two aftermarket mufflers? And any suggestions on which brand of mufflers.

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the site. For your exhaust, I would recommend Flowmasters. IMO, they sound the best.

i have some researching to do as to what type of exhaust but first welcome to the forum and congrats on the new truck, if you replace your exhaust it will basically be a loud head turning roar when you really get down on it, but im not sure which exhausts make a drone at cruise which i personally dont like, you can use the search feature for this at the top its really helpful

Alot of folks have had drone with some mufflers and the 6.0 engine. I am running dual Magnaflows and have no drone or resonance at all. Sounds great.

I just got the same truck 3 days ago and was wondering the same thing. I was going with the dual flowmasters at a 45 degree angle as my first choice. Seen it before and loved it. I was looking for the dark grey or black one and went with the dark grey from Jersey.

i just had installed flowmaster 50's two in two out on my 8.1L. sounds great! not too much, just low and mellow. it gets louder when i punch it or towing the camper. on the highway the flowmaster settles right down.
