Rust and new Chrome Wheels!

 I have just bought a new set of wheels, Helo 16x8, Maxx 8's. Question is I was checking them out the other day, and I noticed some surface rust on the lugs themselves...not the wheels. I was just wondering what I could used to get that rust off, without having to take off every lug, and without using something that would harm the chrome on the wheels? Thanks in advance!

simichrome polish works well we use it at work to polish out rust, gas build up ect. in the molds at my work they can cost upwards of $50,000. so it shouldn't hurt anything . we use it on plated molds as well in case your worried about chips or anything. I use it personally too great stuff. as for preventing it from coming back. I have used hydraulic fluid in a spay bottle on my frame and it seems to prevent rust well. just don't get it on your brake shoes :)

Try steel wool and Coke! I have never personally needed to try this so double check before doing so, but my good friend used it all over his old CJ while restoring it. ~josh
