lifts and warranties

ordering a 2500hd, if I lift it 6" and put 35"s on it will this void my warranty? should I not purchase the warranty? How and where should I have a new truck lifted in michigan. I want it done for looks but still has to function for work loads and towing.

I've nevewr purchased a brand new truck and don't know much about lifts. I sure could use some advise......thanks charlie

I've heard that it depends on how nice the dealer is on how much they overlook. When I saw a lifted Sierra being sold at the dealer I got mine from he said the lift was done by a "factory authorized" place in Texas and then shipped up here to WI, so it still has the factory warranty. You may want to ask the dealer you are buying it from before buying the extended (GMPP) as even your factory 3/36K might not even cover items they blame on the lift.
