Just wanted to add that if you buy anything from Jet Hot they are a class act. I purchased a set of Hedman 1 7/8" primary headers from them back in April, due to my schedule I didn't get a chance to install them on my 65 Impala till this past weekend. Well turns out the set I have hit my power steering box. Called Jet Hot up and talked to the tech rep, explained my situation, long story short, they sent me a set of Hooker compitition 2" primary headers to try. No questions asked.

 

Now I can do one of two things, dent the Hedmans just enough to clear the power steering box, or use the Hooker headers. Now do I want to use the small 17/8" primaires or use the 2"? Any suggestions?

 

I plan on getting an X pipe to install along with it and I'm already running 21/2" tubes with flowmaster mufflers.

I think the 2" primaries will be too big for your engine. I'd be inclined to 'adjust' the Hedmans and install them.
