I own an 03 GMC and the chimes seem to be "out of sinc". This has been this way since the day I bought it (last summer). When I open the door and hit the lock button it is like the chimes are on a constant timer. Sometimes they will sound right away and some times they will already be in the middle of a "ring". This is hard to explain. You would almost have to be right there. I know that the chimes are in the radio and this just seems to be a screwy idea. My 99 was perfect in this area. With this 03 I have wierd chimes and "ghost" like problems with my seat memory, fobs, mirrors, etc. I have heard from many forum guys of the problems with seat memories.
