Nasta, Bully, or Hunter Nerfs?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a 2004 2500HD Ext Cab. I need to add some nerf bars to help my little girls

climb into the back seat.

I am looking at these from T-Rex Motorsports.com:

http://store.trexmotorsports.com/acfobchsiexc1.html

I have also seen some Hunter Nerf bars for a low price.

The Westins look good, but cost more than I want to spend.

Any opinions on which are the better brand?

Or has anyone dealt with T-Rex before?

Thanks for your help! :flag:

I have had the Westin, they look good but in my area they didnt hold up too good.

Living in New England the winters take a beating on them.

If you go for anything and like the chrome look get ones that a Polished Stainless.

You dont want chrome plated.

I have had BackCountrys on my Old XCab and Just put a new set on my 04 Crew.

They were around $325.

They look great and have a great warranty, check them out.

I dont know the exact site but you could do google search on them.

Hi JR,

Thanks for the reply! I decided on the Nasta bars that were polished SS. TRex shipped them out

on a Monday (I ordered online on a Sunday evening), and I got them (coast to coast) on Friday.

2 thumbs up to T-Rex!

The fit and finish were good, but I did have to grind a little off of the drivers front bracket

to keep it from rubbing on the frame mount. They came with SS brackets. Great for rust

resistance, but they tend to show up more hanging down under the cab than the plated black

brackets that some of the other manufacturers provide. Either way, I am happy with my step

bars, and the kids enjoy stepping into the cab now - without doing the stretch, pull and slide! :D
