dual exhaust system

I am just looking into how difficult it would be to run a true dual exhaust system on my truck. I have an 02 Sierra ext cab with the 4.8 V8. I am planning on putting on headers and then the dual exhaust. any suggestions would be helpful

Flowmaster has a good system with seperate cats, just make sure that you are crossing the system over to equalize the backpressure. The best way to cross over the system is to install the whole thing, start the truck, lift it up off the ground and measure the heat on the pipes behind the motor. find the 2 hottest places on the exhaust, this is your crossover spot. This normally takes place right around the bell on the tranny. The reason for the cross over is for backpressure, the engine needs equal backpressure to run properly, if not, you could burn valves. Should you choose not to cross over, you need to make sure that the exhaust pipes are exactly the same length, this should get you pretty close to equal pressure in the systems.
