Ok guys, I'm just curious...

I wanted to see if you guys could post up what kind of gas mileage you get in your silverado....along with the model, any engine mods, and what kind of driving you do.

Thanks

2003 RCSB C1500, 4.8L, 3.42 Rear

Wester's 89 Octane tune, magnaflow with dual outlets, K&N, Full synthetics

I drive 72 miles round trip everyday commuting, all interstate, at ~75mph.

I average between 21 and 22 MPG most every week. On the weekends, I do a lot of stop and go driving... I usually average between 19 and 21 MPG then.

Best MPG (A long road trip): 24

Worst MPG (Towing 2,000lbs in a lot of hills): 15

Well my truck has been having issues, I was getting 17 MPG around town and on trips while stock (03 4.8l Z71 ECSB). Then I put on new tires, cranked t-bars and rear blocks, a magnaflow exhaust and, removed the MAF screen(bad idea) all about the same time. On the next 3 fillups I got 15, 14 and the last one was 12.8 ouch!

I just installed a new MAF and I hope to get at least 16 MPG once the computer learns it out. Otherwise, I may need to do a full tune up.

1999 4wd ext cab w/5.3l and 285/75/16 tires. Stock gearing and 70% city driving and I get just under 13 mpg. I'm surprised at some of the numbers you guys are posting. I have mine programmed with a Hypertech and am now wondering if that's hurting me.....

I get around 16 in town and can get upwards of 19 on the highway but I have a little problem called a "lead foot" when I'm on the highway!!,so I average about 17.5 according to the DIC.
