Truck options

My 00 Silverado is a base model, and two of the options that it came with I'm unsure exactly what they are:

Heavy Duty Chasis Package ?.00

High Capacity Air Cleaner ?.00

Can anyone shed some insight???

The heavy duty chassis (suspension) is also known as Z85.  It is a shock absorber that is in between the size on the standard suspension and the Z71.  It is also required if you tow.  (the Z71 suspension is obviously good to tow with too)  I drove all three suspensions before I bought my '00 Silverado and I liked the Z85 the best.

I think the high capacity air cleaner is exactly what it says.  It was standard equip. on my HD.

My '00 was the same way...  Z85 suspension (which is actually a larger diameter shock piston) and no towing package option.  I had the dealer install the tranny cooler for my...  and actually the wiring harness is up by your spare tire (for 4-prong applications w/no trailer brakes).

Went to get a air filter for my 99 5.3 and they list 2 part numbers with one listed as heavy duty - is there a way to tell if you got a reg. or hd - rpo code ?

I got this from our "tech center" on our main page...  The RPO Code for the '99 heavy duty air cleaner is K47

I hope this helps...
