What size are the door speakers on my Silverado and how do you get the metal screen off to get at them. Thanks.

Don't know how to get the screen off of there but I believe your main speaker size in the front door is a 6.5". I think the extended cab speakers are 4" x 6" but I'm not positive on that.

I think Frank is right on the sizes ... to double check just go to http://www.crutchfield.com/ and select "What Fits My Car?" As for the screens, if they are like mine ('02 K1500) then you remove the screen from the backside of the door panel. The panel is surprisingly easy to remove, or it was on mine anyway. Just a couple of screws, maybe some wires if ya have window/lock controls on the door, and lift up! Nothing to it!

Blew one of my speakers already and changed them out myself. No problems. Each door has 2 screws. The front doors are in a different location then the back. Well, maybe one screw is in a different location. Under the door handle flap maybe. It was easy anyway.
