Hey guys and galz, great site, good to be aboard ! Taking delivery of a new, super loaded (even On star and XM radio !) 04 GMC Sierra SLE regular cab shorty tomorrow ! My question is what is the biggest tire and wheel combo with say Ferd keys and an adda leaf I can cram under this thing ? I had 15x10 A/R Outlaw 1's with 32/11.50/15 BFG's crammed under my 98 1500....Can I use this same combo ? Thanx....

Welcome to the site!!!

Is your new truck a 4x4? 285/75/16's should fit pretty easily, but from what I've heard, there are more clearance issues on the front of a GMC as opposed to the front of a Chevy.

Definitely no clearance issues on my Chevy. BF Goodrich All Terrain 285 75R 16's on the factory wheel and factory ride height...didn't touch the torsion bars. If you click on the link under the picture in my sig you can check em out.

(I think I should type this reply in a Word document and just copy and paste it...seems like I use it once a day :D )

Oh Yea, Welcome aboard! :dupe:

Thanx guys, that is one PURDY truck William :dupe: Wish I coulda found a black 04 but couldn't find one with all the options I wanted so I ended up with the Carbon metallic....Wanted an 04 for the 0.0% finance....Yes it is a 4x4....Anyway, Im looking to go bigger and wider than 285's, I think 305's are equal the old 32/11.50/15's ? Anyone ? Some one musta tried to cram a set of 32's on ten inch wheels under there !

There are a few folks around here that have made the 305s fit with a little cranking, and a little trimming of the air-dam.

I don't think you'll be able to get 15 inch wheels on there. I think it's because the brake calipers are too big. You have to go with 16 inch diameter wheels.

Yes, As Wingnut said I don't think 15's will work because of the tight fit with the caliper and more importantly the brake hose coming off of the caliper, make sure you always check the clearance with the hose on these new-body-style trucks, there where some issues with that a few years ago although I think GM rerouted the hoses in '02 or '03.
