Screws by Defrost Vents

Kind of hard to describe, but if it's happened to you, you will know what I'm talking about. Where the dash screws in, up by the defrost vents, the plastic has broken and is loose. How have you fixed this? Thanks for any help. Sorry, no pictures yet.

If it is broken very bad the only way to fix it is a new dash shell.
