hey i just got this truck about 3 months ago and ive noticed that it rolls backwards as if im in neutral. now i know thats not a good thing but how bad is it?

What exactly do you mean? Are you in drive, at idle, on an incline and you take your foot off the brake and it rolls back? If so, that's not abnormal on an incline.

its when i am stopped on a incline in drive and i take my foot off the brake.... this is my first suv so im used to small cars i thought it could be the weight of the thing but wasnt sure

Its normal man. It just depends on the weight and how high of an idle the engine has, and many other variables. It is one of those things that varies from vehicle to vehicle, even another Jiimmy just like yours may not do it. But it is normal, nothing to worry about.
